It is One existence but duality cannot be ignored – each in its own, each perfect in the other. In a typical terrestrial creation, सत् Sat appears separated from चित् Chit and आनन्द Ananda. The clouds of ignorance and माया Maya that are caused by the separation is apparent in our conscience. चित् शक्ति Chit-Shakti needs to reveal सत् पुरुश Sat Purusha to herself through महाशक्ति Maha Shakti and recover the true identity; the union happens under true bliss – आनन्द Ananda. Vedas are perhaps the oldest known scriptures. At the beginning of creation, knowledge of Vedas (given above in a nutshell) was explained by the Supreme and the teachings passed down many generations to us – the living. Vedas personify the Brahman who is the Absolute, present as Atman Consciousness in all of us. The Brahman is the final, all-pervasive sum total of all that there is, there was and will be. In general, Vedas comprise of two portions: karma-khanda (workability) and Jnana-khanda (knowledge). The Samhitas, Brahmanas, and Aranyakas belong to Karma part, while Upanishads are part of the knowledge. The knowledge in Vedas is the Vedanta, which consist of the Upanishads. Om Tat Sat Chit Ananda
